This error is caused by an issue with updating the Playstation 3 firmware by USB drive.

To solve this error :

Ensure there are no problems with the USB drive.

Download the firmware update to the USB drive again to ensure the firmware file is not corrupt.

Try the installation of the firmware again.

If all else fails, update firmware over the network.
